
Meet our FCC Director
Luz Pinto was born in Colombia, where her professional journey began. She graduated from a prestigious university with a Juris Doctor degree in Family Law and Political Sciences. In Colombia, she worked as a Family Legal Counselor for the Department of Children and Families in Bogotá.
Upon immigrating to the United States, Luz transitioned into the field of early childhood education by establishing her own family child care business. Over the past 30 years, she has amassed extensive experience supporting educators in navigating new Early Education and Care regulations and requirements.
My Story
Luz served as a Family Child Care and Education Coordinator with Child Development and Education, Inc., where she earned a reputation for her efficiency, professionalism, and ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and providers. Within a few months, she advanced to the role of training facilitator, conducting sessions in both Spanish and English.
While working, Luz pursued higher education, earning a Master of Science in Human Services Administration with a concentration in Leadership from Springfield College.
Currently, Luz works as a Metro Boston PLC Coach, where she shares her wealth of knowledge and experience with other child care professionals. In addition, she owns and operates a licensed family child care program in Boston and serves as a CPR and First Aid Trainer for the American Red Cross.
